‘Bates Motel’ Renewed for More Seasons

A&E has renewed “Bates Motel” for a two-season renewal according to Variety. The series will be back with a 4th and 5th season, both 10-episodes, and will air in 2016.

“The critically-acclaimed series is a contemporary prequel to the film “Psycho” and shows how Norman Bates (played by Freddie Highmore) unravels through his teenage years. Vera Farmiga plays his mother, Norma Bates”.

Currently, “Bates” ranks among the top-rated ad-supported cable series, averaging 1.3 rating in adults 18-49 with three million viewers. John Powers Middleton is the executive producer for the film.
